The Phalanx are an offshoot of the race of techno-organic beings from deep space bent on galactic conquest called the Technarch. Their bodies are structured like machinery and the entire race has a single, collective consciousness. The Phalanx infect people with the transmode virus, which converts them into techno-organic beings and assimilates them into the Phalanx collective. The evil race appeared on Earth when human mutant-haters voluntarily infected themselves with the Transmode Virus stolen from the deceased Warlock. |
