Valentin Shatalov was an opportunistic politician in the last days of the Soviet Union. Knowing the collapse of communism was inevitable, Shatalov manoeuvred to a position where he would be involved in the lives of the state-owned super human champions, the Soviet Super Soldiers, and the current operator of the Crimson Dynamo armour, Dmitri Bukharin (now known as Airstrike.) | ||||
Shatalov framed Crimson Dynamo, staging his "rampage" in the United States when recovering the agent known as the Titanium Man. Using this as leverage; he appropriated the armour from Bukharin. Donning the armour himself, Shatalov became the new Crimson Dynamo and formed the team he called Remont-4, dedicating himself and it to returning Russia to the glory days of Stalin. |
