Mister Fear has trained extensively in hand to hand combat.

Fear Gas: Mister Fear's powers stem from his equipment. He typically uses a gun that shoots pellets containing his "fear compound." This is a special compound that is based on pheromones and causes the victim to experience intense fear. The compound works on both contact and by breathing it. He has also used a ring capable of injecting concentrated does of the fear compound and gloves able to fire darts of the liquid to administer it directly into the victim's bloodstream.

Emotion Control - (Self): Mister Fear has eliminated the emotion of fear totally from his mind.

Mind Control: Mister Fear has displayed the ability to influence the minds of other people into doing whatever he wanted them to do. Through chemical means, he has used fear, hallucinations and a compound capable of causing men to remember their greatest loves.

Origins:

Lawrence Cranston, a law school classmate of Matthew Murdock (Daredevil), hated Murdock ever since he was defeated by him in a mock trial as an underclassman. Cranston, who suspected that Murdock was secretly Daredevil, once overheard Daredevil's enemy, Samuel "Starr" Saxon force the original Mister Fear, Zoltan Drago, to reveal the location of his costume and gun. Once he had the information, Saxon shot Drago in cold blood. Saxon assumed the Mister Fear identity until he was defeated by Daredevil, and apparently killed. Cranston masqueraded as a relative of Saxon and obtained a court order allowing him custody of the Mister Fear costume and equipment.
