Origins:

A mysterious player in the Great Game, a fighting match between super humans where a sponsor would bet on their victory, Polestar first encountered the Ben Reilly Spider-Man when the first failed Spider-Man clone known as Kaine had become a target of Great Game players, including Polestar, Rhino and Joystick.
