Baron Strucker had scientists genetically alter the twins in order to give them superhuman powers. Baron Strucker was apparently killed as a result of a battle between himself and his long-time nemesis Colonel Nick Fury, director of the espionage agency SHIELD, and HYDRA fragmented. | ||||
