The Fenris Wolf is a mystical creature normally standing 15 feet high. It possesses human-like intelligence and monstrous strength and reflexes. It can magically reduce its size and/or alter its shape, however, into that of a normal sized wolf or to appear as virtually any type of creature, even as a man or god. The wolf is bound by the mystical bond Glepnir, which resists the wolf's every attempt to break free, even responding to its changes of shape and size. |

The Fenris Wolf is a mystical creature from the Asgardian dimension of Niffelheim who is said to be an offspring of Loki (god of mischief) and Angrboda. Before it reached maturity, Fenris threatened Iduna, keeper of the gods' golden apples of immortality, and was banished to Varinheim by Haakun the Hunter. This incident later became the basis for the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. |
