Origins:

The Sleepers were a series robots created by the Red Skull for the Nazi party to carry on their legacy after the Nazis were defeated and punish those that worked against them. The advanced plans of the Nazi Sleepers were based on the Thule societies efforts to recreate The Serpents version of the Asgardian Destroyer.

The first known Trio of Sleepers were each assigned an agent which had the task of awakening one of the robots that would combine to form a new super-robot. The first Sleeper was awakened by Martinus Von Kimmer, the second Sleeper by Erica Wolfmann, and the third Sleeper by a Nazi agent named Lars Schlag. The three robots were designed to fuse into one giant robot and fly to the North Pole, go into a death dive with the first Sleeper blasting a path virtually down to the Earth's core; the interior heat of the Earth would cause the bomb in the third Sleeper to ignite, setting off an endless chain of thermal explosions which would tear apart the planet.
