From infancy, Ultima received special treatment from her father - the cult leader known as the Word. The Word used his incredible power of persuasion to convince his daughter to work, meditate and exercise relentlessly. He persuaded her that she had incredible strength and senses, and to ignore fatigue from exercise and meditation. | ||||
This strange gift to his daughter worked, Ultima achieved a superhuman level of strength as she realised the potential she had been convinced she had. She continued to live with her father as he ran his cults, demonstrating her strength to prove the power of the Word’s teachings and serving as an enforcer when the cult ran into issue. As a member of her father's cult, Ultima fell in love with a young man, Randolph Harrison. She-Hulk was hired by Randolph's parents to infiltrate the Cult of the Word. |
