| Jalome Beacher was a talented chemical engineer in the design and development laboratory of Beemont Manufacturing who created a chemical coating that applied to any object, eliminated all friction between the object and any surface. Beacher was about to unveil his discovery when Beemont was purchased by a larger organisation. Shortly after that the R&D lab was closed down and Beacher was fired. To get revenge for being fired, Beacher created his super villain identity as Slyde and began robbing banks to get money so he could start a company for himself, driving his former employers out of business. |
