The Man-Beast has extensive knowledge of numerous hand-to-hand combat techniques, though he is a relatively inexperienced combatant. He can sense vulnerable pressure points in the bodies of others. He is a master planner, and an accomplished geneticist and engineer, highly skilled in all known sciences.

Enhanced Abilities: The Man-Beast has super human strength, agility, speed and endurance.

Body Armour: The Man-Beast has occasionally worn various types of body armour.

Enhanced Senses: The Man-Beast has superhumanly acute senses of hearing, smell, and taste, and can see beyond the spectrum of light visible to humans into both infrared and ultraviolet ranges.

Genius: The Man-Beast has an incredible intellect.

Telepathy: The Man-Beast is able to communicate telepathically with his fellow New Men.

Healing: The Man-Beast regenerates health at a much greater rate than a normal being.

Hypnosis: The Man-Beast can hypnotically control those of lesser will power.

Force Fields: The Man-Beast can erect force barriers capable of repelling Thor's hammer or anti-matter barriers capable of disintegrating positive matter.

Teleportation: The Man-Beast has used a cape to teleport himself and anything or anyone wrapped within its folds.

Origins:

The Man-Beast is the most powerful, and most evil of the New Men, animals evolved by the High Evolutionary into human-like intellects and forms. Following many successes, the High Evolutionary sought a warrior race to defend his Citadel of Science on Mount Wundagore should mankind lapse into another world war. The Evolutionary developed Isotope C, which could endow new Knights of Wundagore with greater strengths. Isotope C was tested on the first wolf, which the Evolutionary had evolved, but an unexpected visit from the Norse god Thor distracted him, and the creature was left under the Genetic Accelerator too long, evolving the creature to the end point of human and lupine evolution. Hating all life, this Man-Beast attacked Thor and the Evolutionary, then used the Genetic Accelerator to form its own New Men army.
