| In 1848 Captian Crozier was a doctor on board a ship exploring the arctic looking for a northwest passage to the East Indies. Six months into the voyage the ship he was aboard was trapped by ice due to the onset of winter. With supplies running out Crozier led the remnants of his crew out across the frozen sea. Crozier and his men continued across the arctic for months trying to find civilization, each day brought death to his men. As a man of science Crozier had produced an elixir to slow down his vital functions and bring about the appearance of death. He took the elixir hoping his men would leave him for dead, knowing that the spring sun would revive him. Unfortunately his men out of respect for his rank buried him where no spring sun could revive him. Crozier remained in his state of living death beneath the ice for 138 years, where he began to hate all living things. He remained there until his spirit was reborn into the body of Snowbird’s child, who was being delivered in the arctic where he lay. |
