The rings can create constructs based on the wielders own thoughts, produce energy blasts, generate force fields, detect love, crystallize others with the power of love, render the wearer invisible, allow them to phase, fly, absorb energy, translate languages, create spatial warps and even regenerate health in a limited way.

Origins:

Prixiam Nol-Anj is one of the newest members of the Star Sapphire Corps and a former Prisoner of Oa's Sciencells. She was imprisoned by the Green Lantern Corps for a slew of different crimes, including: racketeering, smuggling, extortion, murder for hire, abduction, trafficking in organisms, larceny, grand theft starship, and assault with an energy weapon. Over time, she managed to beguile her guard, Lantern Cossite, and he fell in love with her. When Larfleeze attacked Oa in the aftermath of the First Lantern's defeat and the death of the Guardians, his constructs killed a Star Sapphire who arrived to aid in the defence of the planet. The fallen Sapphire's ring flew to Nol-Anj's cell, where it declared her eligible to become a Star Sapphire herself. Nol-Anj persuaded Cossite that the ring's presence was proof that her love for him was true, and he readily opened the door and allowed her to slip the ring onto her fingers and acquire its power. To his surprise, she then killed him, declaring that the love in her heart that the ring detected was not for him, but for the Clann she belonged to. After Larfleeze's attack was thwarted, the Green Lanterns discovered Cossite's body and learned of Nol-Anj's escape.
