Soon after he entered a life of crime that eventually landed him in prison,
where he met Dirk Garthwaite, the Wrecker. After escaping prison with
other members of the Wrecking Crew he joined them in holding onto the
Wrecker’s crowbar, where lightning struck it, magically distributing
the enchanted strength bestowed upon the Wrecker among the four of them.
